About me
My name is Simon Phillpotts and I live and work within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. I have long been fascinated by the wide range of wildlife habitats the area contains and its biodiversity. It is a beautiful and unique location but the scale of the landscape means that the fauna and flora of the Dales is often overlooked by visitors. Whilst I have travelled far and wide to photograph wildlife my current aim is to build a photographic catalogue of some of the key species that contribute to the distinctiveness of the area and show how these species form an important part of a harsh but stunning landscape. Please check frequently as new images will continue to be added. All of the images can be purchased as prints or files for publication (please see the sales page for further information). All of the images here are captured using Canon EOS Digital Cameras and a range of their professional L Series lenses ranging from the 500mm f/4L IS to the 24-105mm f/4L IS |
